Within the Dreamspell system
The Galactic Tones described here belong to the Dreamspell / 13 Moon Calendar system. Maya 13 does not present this system as identical to historical or traditional Maya calendars.
01
What is a Galactic Tone?
A Galactic Tone is an element used to view a KIN through a sequence of thirteen steps. It repeats from 1 through 13 alongside KIN numbers and offers a marker for noticing a day’s place in a cycle.
02
The thirteen Galactic Tones
There are thirteen Galactic Tones. They repeat in order across the 260 KIN cycle, with each Tone appearing twenty times. The list below uses the names and keywords shown in Maya 13.
03
Its relation to KIN and Solar Seal
A KIN is viewed as a combination of one of thirteen Galactic Tones and one of twenty Solar Seals. Looking at both offers two complementary scales for locating a KIN within the 260-day cycle.
04
Its relation to a Wavespell
A Wavespell views thirteen KIN as a single flow. The Galactic Tone marks where a KIN sits within that thirteen-day sequence.
05
Viewing Galactic Tone in Maya 13
Maya 13 displays the Galactic Tone with the KIN for a selected date. It is a perspective for reflecting on time, not a basis for predicting the future or defining a person.
